In association with the Celtic Connection, at 4.30pm today we are celebrating Bloomsday and the life and work of the Irish writer James Joyce. We will have readings from Ulysses and informal chat with tea and scones. Do come along whether you are a fan or not. Babel kindly gave us a fascinating biography of Nora, Joyce’s wife. This book is key to understanding Jame Joyce and his writing.
We are open Thursday to Saturday 1pm to 6pm through to July 27th. There are additional opening times and dates that I will post, for example a few Sundays coming up. These are the times we can guarantee opening. We have several private bookings outwith these times. Do contact us on bookwormcafe@gmail.com if you wish to book a private function.
